Christian Candido was born in Turin and earned his BA in Communication Arts and Sciences in 1998 with a thesis on Semiology of Cinema. He then directed to videoclip, dance theater, cinema, scriptwriting and the connections between visual arts and computer graphics. Since 2002 he has shot shortfilms and videoclips:

Film Overview
“Dreaming Vincent” reprises Akira Kurosawa’s masterpiece “Dreams” in the episode recognized as one of the most successful crossovers between arts: episode 5 titled “Crows” where the pictorial art of Vincent Van Gogh, the music of Chopin and the authorial wisdom of a master of cinema like Akira Kurosawa are intertwined.
Episode 5 of “Dreams” has always stimulated me artistically and I wanted to make a version of it, that would pay homage to the art of these three sacred monsters, with some variations that are grafted into Kurosawa’s magical realism and within the painting of the Dutch genius (the Japanese anime quotes) and remind us, through the creativity of the screenplay, that the fascination of Art transcends all times, all places and all ages.
