About Director
Born in Pernambuco. Mother. Dancer by training. Feel the body, place of drive, knowledge and affections. Crossed by Dance, Cinema, Performance, Photography, Poetry, it sees in these intersections porous meeting points, movements of coming and going, expansion and contraction, where other Becomings are inaugurated… Studied a degree in Dance and Audiovisual Editing, winner of several national and international awards with the Short Experimental Vetiver, is in the post-production of her next short film that will talk about the work of the 95-year-old ballerina.

How do you choose your star cast?
Vetiver is a film piece with a protagonist, the director herself who is also a dancer and performer.
How tough it is for a producer to keep the budget unaffected?
Here in Brazil we are having some problems with the arts, so we need to encourage an adequate budget, and to employ people who are more prepared to be in public work and to enforce policies in favor of Art and Culture, especially for experimental arts
Who are your filmmaking influencers?
Claudios Assis is a filmmaker from Pernambuco, from the northeast of Brazil who was very influential for me, Chris Marker and Maya Deren. both motivate me.
